Forever in a Day

Forever in a Day

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Ever missed someone so much

You long for just another touch?

A touch of a hand,

A touch of a heart that understands.

Memories blink golden eyes

As years glide by.

Savor does the inner soul,

Forever in a day, ever bestowed.

A light in the back of the mind,

A treasure to find.

A shimmering curtain effortlessly blown

As you recall times gone.

Invisible strings tied

To yesteryear, ever thrive

In the heart of you…

Forever in a day rings true.

Love knows not time,

And can’t be described in rhyme.

For love is certainly not blind,

And knows not the fine line.

Seeing the beauty within,

As memories are lent.

In your heart to stay...

How sweet it is to re-live forever in a day.

Love is the strongest force on earth
it goes through stone
Makes everything melt
and sway and dance
and sing lol

Love it

Thank you for stopping by my little nook and leaving your review.
the invisible strings hit home....my best friend back in the seventies and eighties died tragically in a fire....she sang and played guitar...i used to love to hear her play, intermingled with our conversation----i miss her tremendously, every day...and it has been 31 years since.
