The heights, the depths,

Long and enduring.

Life continues to test…

The pushing, the pulling.

 

The light shines

Into the weary soul

As it ever ignites,

Giving way to the unknown.

 

Hoping to consume all it touches,

It burns its light.

Through it all, it ever pulses…

When faith takes flight.

 

Looking inside,

There’s no denying

There’s something to find

In hope’s lining.

 

Let not hope fail,

For there’s pow’r in its sight.

A new wind fills the sail

When faith takes flight.

 

Faith opens the heart,

Enabling truth to reside.

For there’s a flame to start,

Refusing to hide.

 

A beat within,

Thumping through the fight.

When on Christ we depend…

Faith takes flight.
