True Morning

True Morning

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The days, unclear,

The way, adheres.

The morning, rises,

The mourning, despises.

Truth knows freedom,

Its very own Kingdom.

Hiding not, giving way

To a valid pain.

A hold, steadfast,

A mold, attached.

A dream, reached,

A stream, redeemed.

Life swirls on a lofty breeze,

No matter what one believes.

A give and take,

It’s what you make.

The desire, unleashed,

The fire, appeased.

The flame, quenched,

The Name, sent.

Weep no more,

For there’s much in store.

The mourning will be done

When the True Morning comes.

Melinda, I like the wordplay you employ exchanging morning with mourning as the piece continues apace. The structure of the piece, supporting the writing, is spot on...the rhythm of the write is tight and secure, making the writing stand out in its clarity. Very nicely done! take care...dan
