Hi Mamaw

Hi Mamaw

A Poem by Melinda McQueen
"

I love you.

"

Hi Mamaw

Do you hear me when I pray?

Do you hear the words I say?

I wish I could have spent more time with you,

Even so, you have never been far from me in truth.

From the moment of my birth

I knew your love’s worth.

For on me, you never gave up,

But continually filled my new cup.

Speaking your mind

To doctors and nurses… you stayed by my side.

Your tears you did not hide

As your prayers kept me alive.

I smile when I picture your new eyes

Beholding Jesus Christ.

What joy must fill your soul

As now you are Home.

Hi Mamaw, I’m still here loving you,

And as you loved and prayed me through…

I now pray you far from harm

And into God’s arms.
