![]() In a WordA Poem by Melinda McQueenIn a Word
The mighty sword, The deepest thought. In a word, Beauty is brought.
How do you say What’s in your heart When words stay at bay? Where does one start?
Power to lift up, Strong enough to destroy. Light enough to fill your blessings cup, Heavy enough to rob your joy.
A promise not kept, A love devotion. Eyes that have wept, In a word filled with emotion.
Like a feather floating on a breeze, Let your words be light. For you never know who’s in need Of kindness in midst of their plight.
Yes, words can hurt and steal A heart’s happiness, But they can also heal. In a word… bless! © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
