The Forever Promise

The Forever Promise

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

 The Forever Promise

A love to last,

A journey through the right path.

A hope which only brightens,

A faith that never lightens.

He holds her in His arms

And she is free from harm.

Tucked safely in His heart,

The forever promise to never part.

He will always care

And He will be there.

The warmth of the sun

Kisses a hope which has begun.

A certain grace

In all she may face

Finds her right where she is,

The forever promise.

A loyal hand to sustain

Her through every pain.

A tenderness in trying times,

He hears her cries.

Never quiet to her needs,

He answers in His speed.
His Word fails never--
The promise of forever.
