The Road to TheeA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Road to Thee
Long and winding, Bumps and curves, trying. Hardships befell, A story to tell.
Things to do, Dreams to ensue. How would I get there? Did I dare?
Finding my purpose, Longing to be victorious… For something true, did I seek, The road to Thee.
Brick by brick I followed, Some high, some low. “Where are You?” I’d plea, “When will I succeed?”
Still, I kept going, And grace kept showing. Moving me along, I felt love’s song.
Soon, I heard You say, “My child, you have succeeded day by day. For as I heard you pray whole heartily, You were on the road to Me.”
