"Yes, Lord, Yes"

"Yes, Lord, Yes"

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

“Yes, Lord, Yes”

Yes, to the sound of song

That makes right ev’ry wrong.

Yes, to the whispered words to the soul

That saturates the heart so.

A thousand tears

Cried over the years.

He hears, oh how He hears,

As our pain He feels.

Yes, to the wounded heart

Desiring a brand-new start.

Yes, to the lost,

For Christ has paid the cost.

He’s made a way,

He’s come to save.

Leaving heaven’s glory,

Jesus changed our story.

Yes, to the pain He endured

To be the Holy cure.

Yes, to the cross

That saved, once for all.

Our hearts bow

To the One who worked everything out.

Tears of humble admiration

At such a revelation.

Yes, my heart cries

Unto my Savior on high.

Yes, to the One who gave His best,

To You, let me always say “Yes, Lord, yes.”

Beautiful words from a beautiful heart and soul. Out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks...or the pen...or the keyboard. But it's beautiful and wonderful to hear, to read, to see. It is written in scripture that the Truth makes us free. But what many may not realize is that, that statement, so boldly presented also means that ignorance makes slaves of the rest. Here's to the Truth, the Way, the Life and the Glory. Bless, F.
