In Her Purple Dress

 

She dances in the moonlight,
feeling her emotions deep.

No one is around,
but the joy she keeps.

 

Swirling around
in her purple dress,
she knows she’s different
but welcomes her uniqueness.

 

Spinning
like a ballerina doll,
not giving thought
that she isn’t all that tall.

 

She stumbles,
she awkwardly missteps.

Yet, she keeps dancing,
her faith is kept.

 

Though in shadows,
she moves toward the moonlight.

For she knows that she is

beautiful in her Maker’s sight.

 

The breeze catches
and gives a light pull.

She’ dancing with Him
in her dress of purple
