*His Promise*

*His Promise*

A Poem by *~Poetic_Essence~*
"

I was inspired one sunday by a sermon that I heard in church...

"

My life is a numberless tape measure

Stretched out between Gods two hands

I looked to Him and He said...

"Every line big or small

Represents the bumps and problems

That you'll inquire throughout your life..."

And as I began to weep

He wiped away my tears and said...

"My child I have already made a way..."

Short, sweet and extremely powerful. I like the "numberless tape measure stretched out between God two hands". That's deep.

Not much to say in the way of critique here. You've definitely a very talented writer.

Great job! Thanks for sharing.

I'm more spiritual than religious but that was a beautifully written piece. Nicely done.

Wow... this piece just jumped out at me as the first one I wanted to read. If this is a sample of your talent, I'm impressed! This is beautiful. I absolutely love the comparison of life to a tape measure and each line representing lifes difficulties, very insightful!

Keep up the wonderful inspirational poetry... ~ Brooke

This is great. A very good connection between life and a tape measure. I really like the idea you have that the tape measure is already there, made for you from beginning to end. Great thought.

I thought the analogy you used of your life as a "numberless tape measure, stretched out between God's two hands", was brilliant!

I can see this... You at His knee, Him holding you and wiping those tears, bottling them to save for later.
I know that you've seen it too...
