World Book Day

"Books do change lives"

 

 

 

 

 

Once upon a time a teacher did say

 

Let us take part in World Book Day

 

Uniting together to raise lots of money

 

Children dress up and teachers look funny

 

So lovely to see the joys on all their faces

 

From different cultures and faraway places

 

Their interpretations of folklore tales told

 

Of Stories read out daily by the young and old

 

Allowing their characters to come alive

 

Watching their joy as they learn and thrive

 

One day to make their dreams come true

 

Seen as characters known by me and you

 

Little girls carrying their fairy princess wands

 

Little boys as modern day prince’s, a young bond

 

Letting their imagination run wild and free

 

Dressed up for World Book day for all to see..

Good use of words and yes, a book can change a life....so great that kids get the chance to increase their imagination and explore the world through words....
