Who fancies a coffee?

An Overwhelming feeling

came all over me today

Of just how much I love

being on Writers Café

Reading words of wisdom

of sad and happy times

Wise words written in prose

funny words written in rhyme

I’ve never truly understood

If my work had rhyme and meter

Until I received reviews from

all my WC friends including Frieda

If I’ve missed you out apologies as

they’re so many to name but a few

Busy keeping an eye out for new comers

to say ‘Hello’ and read and review

Wise beyond our years producing

works of art so we’ve been told

Such an eclectic mix of fine poetry

from poets & poetesses young and old

So here we are in and out when we can

this is definitely a fantastic place to be

Sharing all our thoughts and feelings

in styles that suites us all down to a ‘T’

Ahh many of these writer no longer haunt the halls of the cafe but you poems is older and I’m not sure I’d you are still here but your words are a great tribute to many great writers that have come and gone

Thank you PB.....it's lovely to know you are still here at the Cafe too. Yes...it did sadden me to see some of the writers mentioned in my poem are no longer here....I hope they are all still writing. :)

This was so sweet of you, I comepletely understand what you mean by this, I find every time I return to this site I write more and I write better. I think being among other creative people inspires you to write as well. Its very heartwarming to see my username in this poem and I am sorry its taken me so long to have a look at it.
