SHATTERED GLASS

Yellow Butterfly

"Listen........can you hear that"

Was it the sound of shattered glass splintering to the ground?

Emotions so overwhelming, finding it difficult to breathe in

Suddenly bursting into a trillion pieces, scattering all around

Displays of true love and meaning coming from within

Small sharp fragments of glass everywhere, impossible to touch

Feelings of Joy, anger, love, hate....... is it too late

Rushing frantically to pick them up, the pain is too much

Powerful feelings of true love, was this really fate

 

 

 But, As I try to putting it back together, impossible to mend

The love once felt has disappeared, will it ever return

Struggling to find all the pieces, is this the end

For now it's time to move on in life, time to live and learn 

Expressing such strong feelings, so difficult from the start

The shattered glass I so freely speak about, was referring to my  BROKEN HEART!

I thought the first verse was especially dramatic, and the second verse brought out the emotional message ...
