'Energy Vampires' the newly crowned modern name

Zapping energy from others, is their clever game

Not a term that is often heard or used I am told

It is the only way to describe someone so very bold

Behaving normal and acting all nicely nicely to your face

When deep down they're secretly loathing you, a disgrace

What is it they do, you are wondering,  I  hasten to add

Acting all 'woe is me' hoping to make you feel real bad

Always willing to help them out, at their beck and call

While they readily take a back seat to watch you fall

The fall does not signify them pushing you to the floor

A subtle way of showing you, they deserve much more

Before you know it they've made a move and pounced

And when this happens it always happens, unannounced

 

Feelings of total exhaustion not sure of the reason why

                               

Not aware of such cunning behavior of them being so sly

What or who am I writing about, it is not as clear to see

A person who was once a dear and trusting friend, to me

 

This kind of person is out there, not needed in ones life

All they would like to do is cause you trouble and strife

A lasting thought on those who take your kindness for granted 

Let them know, no long lasting damage done, your life's sorted 

Heres how to deal with an Energy vampire if one should appear

Never give so much of yourself away and always remain sincere

to the point as always..we are always in control of ourselves..even when we say 'your making me feel this way' noone has that power, your letting them do it to you..conscious thought..keeps everything in balance
