Taken

Taken

A Poem by KingKat

Don't touch me
Don't leave me
I'm scared I'll wilt and wither like those who came before

Don't rush me
Please teach me
How can I ever bloom in this bleak and black winter?

I don't know; I don't care
You're my epiphany; You're my Fate

Oh, drop me in the lake
And let it freeze over
I can sense your apathy

Oh, don't be so afraid
I know I've bored you now
You've plucked all of my beauty

We were the colours on the canvas-night
Outré was the art you painted with my petals
Together, you made me bleed

I liked to think our love was consummate
Perfect, like your hand in fate
But it was always your choice; not mine
I'll accept your hand quietly

So, drop me in the lake
And let it freeze over
Preserve me in my ugliest form

Oh, don't be so afraid
I know I've bored you now
I'm happy; I've done my duty beautifully

Let me go now, I understand it's hopeless
All your love has bled out

Please let me leave you now

All my love for you has just bled out"
