From Which We Rise

From Which We Rise

A Poem by Priscilla Sayers

Come into these arms,
rest upon my chest where our breaths can merge,
as one,
we breathe in life,
exhaling the pleasure,
of being,
so close.....

Woody scents and sweet love hues,
an aura lit of blues,
turns red and fiery smoldering,
burning at both ends....

Touches magnify senses,
beyond the norm,
we ascend.
Keep climbing, my love,
God's reminder,
lie in promises.

At each rainbows appearance,
rendered by streaks of Sun light,
to keep us safe,
from floods the that offer to wash us away into the night.

But as the fire within us burns,
never fear the night,
for I am yours and,
you are mine,
our Phoenix souls ignite....

Love to you!!!!
Thank you:)
You have created a beautiful journey of love that begins with the physical and moves to the spiritual and finally joins the two. I believe I think as you do that love can become spiritual ... a bond between two souls who join unselfishly together ... and together know no fear. Beautiful work once again.

Thank you with all my heart Cilla. I love your beautiful insight and intelligence!
Fiery poetry, all fantastical. Do love the ending line - though wondering if Phoenix is a metaphor of love that will always be reborn. In which, there's certainly much to be questioned here. Overall, Tis poem to be admired :) thanks muchly!

Thank you dear Sweet! I feel honored by your reviews. With all my heart!
A beautiful poem.. as always.. there are a couple of places I stumbled a bit.. perhaps I am just not reading it as you intended.. at the bottom of three.. "God's reminder.. lie in promises" and in four.. "from floods the that offer"
