Bush's Brew

Bush's Brew

A Poem by Tom Friel

Powers of land
Powers of sea
Power I hold
Divine unto thee

Horned hunters of night
Follow Dick with their guns
Oh dark shining moon
It's been a good run

A pinch of church
A pinch of state
Thousands of lives
Eight years was their fate

I am the commander
I am the chief
To this dark oily brew
That drills so much grief
