Aeroplanes

Aeroplanes

A Poem by Onyx Crow
"

Hi everyone, this is a re-upload from my old account which I unfortunately can't access anymore. It's a nostalgia-based poem I was inspired to write after a lo-fi playlist triggered a childhood memory

"

Up, down, left, right.

Small metal birds in flight.

You gave us life,

By device screen or by

The equally small hand

Holding us up to the sky.

We saw you,

The smile on your face,

Even when we made mistakes,

Took a wrong turn or crashed.

You were never disappointed,

Never emitted a sigh.

You've grown,

We're so proud of you,

For learning to be true to yourself,

For just doing what you love,

Even if sometimes you believe it's a lie.

You are enough,

And we still love you,

No matter how many mistakes,

Crashes or wrong turns you make.

We're here for you, like old times,

When we carried you,

Up, down, left, right

Into the sky.
