Two Heartaches In One

Two Heartaches In One

A Poem by QuietPoet

Me and JadedSparrow wrote this together. We put our broken hearts together and came up with this poem.

"

Two Heartaches In One

I awoke this morning to find my pillow damp with tears.
Not so long ago, joy embraced me,
Now I have only grief.
When did I become this wretch...
Feeling weak in my heart
Where I can’t find trust
I have fallen into your trap once more
And its buried me deep..
So deep that the light of the sun seems to have disappeared.
I am shrouded in the melancholy darkness of depression.
I have forgotten how to smile...
How long must I endure the agony of living...
The rain keeps falling
And I can’t see the light of day
Because its blocked by all the pain
There is no more love in me;
Only the putrid disgust for the emotion.
My suffering has gone on for an eternity...
Surly I have paid the price for whatever wrongs I have done.

Strong stuff, bang on honest. Tim sent me this and I am glad he did cos it is real life nailed down on the page. OK life can be a bit warty, but the human spirit takes it on the chin ... and goes on. And when it goes on with a kindred spirit who has maybe also taken a hit, THAT is positive and gives hope to others who have take a hit or two. I suppose it is about living as true as we can. Not a difficult philosophy, but one that helicopter brains seem to like making complex.

I've been there and experienced those feelings. You did a great job of filling this poem with emotion, description, and complete thoughts. Any reader will feel a kinship with you after reading this piece. I hope you have moved past the suffering now. You make a great team and I look forward to reading more of your work.

I sometimes wonder what I did to "deserve" what happened to me........how did I screw up my Kharma. But as I reflect, and move forward, I realize that within each moment a lesson was waiting to be learned.

Truly a wonderful poem by two very artistic powerful poets! What a great poem!
I guess like iron always sharpens iron 2 poets working together can be more powerful than 1!!!
I felt both your souls crying out releasing all your pains and heartaches!
For both of you who created it and for all who will read this magnificent and incredible poem that are walking in despair and being that I can be called an authority on walking in despair!
I Say:
Tough times never last but tough people always do!
If we survived all our heartaches you can too!
Bravo! What a great and powerful piece artisic work!
Wow!!!!
May you both keep writing from your souls for the good of all souls!
You centainly helped me with mine!
Always,
TIM

I know I had a hand in creating this poem, but reading through it, I have to say it came out very well. We'll have to do this again.
