Let It Go!

"Not holding on to pain"

This hurt and pain that I have been holding inside…I’ve got to let it go!

It has caused me so much grief and strife

It has kept me from being me

I will not allow this hurt and pain to stop me loving me anymore

Momma and daddy may never change, but I can’t keep giving way to this hurt and pain

This hurt and pain has kept me on the floor and keeps knocking at the door

This hurt and pain will never be my claim to fame

God has spoken and said, “Child there is no gain in carrying all this hurt and pain. Give it to me because you have a whole world before you to gain. Stop claiming all this hurt and pain and allowing it to turn into shame.  You must let go. I will take care of all of your hurt and pain”
