Conscience

Conscience

A Poem by R.a.Tru

Welcome to my prison.
Meditate and listen.
Pacing back and forth,
Looking to the north,
But the star went missing.

Open minded speak.
Coping with the weak,
Hearted not understood.
Looking towards the good,
Memories that are antique.

Playing a broken tune.
Locked myself in my room,
So I could vent my frustrations.
Preparation led to anticipations,
Of an unrelenting doom.

Let's not ignore.
You cannot restore.
Life is based on decisions.
No matter the religions.
Hide the reality with decor.

Who knows if I will awake.
Constant attempts to shake.
The evil that wants to latch.
Escape without a scratch.
My heart is not to take.

The road will divide.
The fear will subside.
Courage is the start.
Mend a damaged heart.
Mind and body collide.

Alone I stand.
One man band.
A balancing act.
Words don't retract.
Hope to understand.

Lost in the cell.
No one can tell.
Of thoughts roaming my head.
The aching silence is dead.
Whispers to yell.

My conscience is advanced.
Thoughts leave me in a trance.
Now I must pay and listen.
Acknowledged and christen.
Self penitentiary to enhance.
Time to give myself a chance.
