Love and Lost

Love and Lost

A Poem by R.a.Tru

Love is complex.
Took it for a test drive to contest.
Different individuals.
Who knew my past left residuals.
Now I play the cynical.
Open heart surgery will be critical.
Let the pain be minimal.
Remove the saddens that is visible.
And hope for the best...

I can't bare to take it or even digest.
Every pulse hurts my chest.
How can I breathe when you were the best.
My vitality I have to confess.
When did it become a mandated mess?
Intertwined without any faults.
Sporadic and fantastic came to a halt.
Treasures robbed from a vault.
Unappreciated like every grain of salt.
Led to a heart in custody...

Nausea will keep me company.
My world began to spin, uncomfortably.
I let it go so humbly.
An unattainable heart is the summary.
So who are you to say?
That there will be better, brighter days.
Better to have loved and lost,
Said by the fools who don't see the cost.
