Pain

Pain

A Poem by Robbie Churchill

Why am I blind
When you are near
Please take my hand
Remove my fear

I am so lost
Nowhere to go
And at what cost
My terror grows

I'm falling towards
My casualty
No wings to grasp
A hold of me

What can I do
To relieve this pain
That's holding on
To everything

It's in my heart
An imprisoned view
Of a life with me
But without you

No way to heal
A heart that's torn
For what I've felt
Has been reborn

My soul's been sheared
By brittle hands
I'll disappear
With no feet to stand

Only the night
The darkness around
Can know my fright
In which I've drowned

I've been battered
And bruised I've been
Body left in tatters
With no hope within

Really good work, Such emotion brought to the table in one table Truly amazing

It is often those who experience the deepest level of pain that are able to grow from it, and share their ability to overcome with others. It does not mean it is easy to walk through the fire, but when the cooling rain pours down it is doubly welcomed! We must always have hope, though it seems as if we cannot last another minute!!
Your thoughts are consistent, your rhyme intact and your message very clear!
