Dear E, You smell like tangerines

Dear E, You smell like tangerines

A Poem by RFE
"

poem to my ex

"

Dear E,

You smell like tangerines

You smell like clean laundry

You feel like soft linen

I miss your long soft brown hair

And your long delicate fingers

Sometimes I think about bottling myself up and shipping the bottle to you

I miss you so much I wish you were here with me, now

I wish I could hear your thoughts spill out of your ears

I wish I could hold on to every word you say

Dear E,

I wish I held on to every word you said

I wish I appreciated you more

I wish I held you longer that last time

My heart is still yearning to see you again, shattered into pieces

Dear E,

I think I still love you

It's a different kind of love, E

But its still there

Eating away at me

You planted maggots into my head and they won't leave

until you’ve taken up every thought and they ’ve infested my brain.

I think about you, E, all the time

I wonder if you’re happy with someone else

Far far far away from here

From me

Dear E,

I miss you, come back soon

- Love, Me
