He died a year ago during the hot season of summer

With cicadas screaming outside his window

He died �" I don’t know how

He knew the right answer

But chose to ignore it

His name written in red ink

Leads me-

It leads me to-

I don’t know.

I cannot even remember that.

He died.

He died an adult

Wanting to be a child

He died

Wanting to live

But as someone else

Someone dead

He died

With his youth gone

And without knowledge

Of how he even

Became

An adult

Suicide, I think it was suicide.

I see the right answer, but I ignore it

I move forward

I block out

That empty correct answer

I am forgetting it

I found out that he died

I found out a year later

And was crushed
