The Ring

The Ring

A Poem by Alice Miller

Circus Time!!!!

The Ring

The Ring is the place!
The place of the chased.
The crim’nal mind, like insane tarantula,
The disgraced, oh the Ring, the Ring!

The elephants dance, they do pace,
Through the rings- yes, they own the place.
The clowns dance beside,
They all do abide, as sweet, sweeter, sweetest
Cyanide.

The Ring is the place!
The place of the chased.
The crim’nal mind, like insane tarantula,
The disgraced, oh the Ring, the Ring!

The ring is afoot race.
They run, interlaced
The losers disgraced
The audience maced,
The last, ah the last, of the raced.

The Ring is the place!
The place of the chased.
The crim’nal mind, like insane tarantula,
The disgraced, oh the Ring, the Ring!

The audience defaces
The kids make gri’maces,
Their laughs do erases,
In their endless embraces,
And they go back, some spaces.

The Ring is the place!
The place of the chased.
The crim’nal mind, like insane tarantula,
The disgraced, oh the Ring, the Ring!

The ringleader jeers, he has aced.
His men are a glace'd,
He’s bottled in vin’gar, his face’s erased,
A fabulous fanatic, he GRACES
The ring. He cheers, oh he peers, oh the Ring!
The ring, the Ring, the RING!!!

The Ring is the place!
The place of the chased.
The crim’nal mind, like insane tarantula,
The disgraced, oh the Ring, the Ring!
