To Campus
The last, of the leaves, are falling,
the Best, of the cement, does crack,
and not to mention, in thee ghostly gloom,
goes the rusting metal fences- with a Clack!
The last of the buses have ‘bandoned,
the old, old school that has crashed.
There’s little to do for the abandoned;
All the bricks, and the mortar- it’s MASHED!
The last, of the leaves, are falling,
the Best, of the cement, does crack,
and not to mention, in thee ghostly gloom,
goes the rusting metal fences- with a Clack!
All the students did leave,
The a’minstrator grieved,
All the bricks did heave,
See the ‘intendant- he’s appeased!
The last, of the leaves, are falling,
the Best, of the cement, does crack,
and not to mention, in thee ghostly gloom,
goes the rusting metal fences- with a Clack!
The money, left, with the tides;
in this old, aged school, nothing abides.
Not the rats, a nibbling,
Not the cat’s, gone feral,
Not the dogs, in their packs, who eat the
DUST.
The last, of the leaves, are falling,
the Best, of the cement, does crack,
and not to mention, in thee ghostly gloom,
goes the rusting metal fences- with a Clack!
One student did shake his head;
He was the only one who was possibly dread’n’.
See, the campus is dead-
And the bats, and the rats, and the kitty-kitty-cats, they’ve gone mad!
