Your streets

Your streets

A Poem by Rachel Jane

That market that has been there for years

Revealed in me strange images

A place where my steps have never touched the cubic

A town where my eyes have never reached the clouds

Yet so close to my soul’s memory

A foolish thought of “I have been”

The “déjà-vu” of a lost fountain in a sunny night

Two hands that were reaching one to another

And that light! Oh, the light!

The light that revealed the storm inside my soul

The drops of water flowing over the street which I knew so well

Just a regular neighborhood, a regular one to you

A much known one, for me and you

The portal has just opened

Shivers on my spine

I can’t believe I’ve been there

I can’t believe my eyes

I see the snow has fallen

Again over your streets

I guess it’s time for me to come

Cause here, it dropped too.
