Such a classically poignant short poem, which reads almost like a farewell letter itself, left propped-up against a milk bottle on the breakfast table. It has a sad longing, and kind of tragic nostalgia about it which is hard to define by examples. It reminds me somewhat, though, of those times during childhood when something ends, and the imagery of the cat on the window sill represents the pining sense of loss one feels...
Really good. A charming little cameo which has such feeling.
