Hospital

This poem is basically about when I was hospitalized how I felt while sleeping in the beds in a psych ward on the East Coast. I spent a fair amount of time there working on myself, and my mind.

the late night hospital lights flickered,
and i saw you say yes,
but my mind said no.

and i fell asleep to the sound of footsteps outside my half way opened door.
and i woke up to my eyes on the floor,
and the nurse asked me if she could take all my blood,

and i said “sure”
