On days when poems aren't Pallas

On days when poems aren't Pallas

A Poem by R. Oxley
"

about writer's block

"

I find myself sifting through scraps of notes

willing the past become lyric

so today I no longer

have to pick myself apart.

I tourniquet the old wounds again and wait

for the flood, for the Muse, for the promise of tomorrow.
