streets before the storm

streets before the storm

A Poem by PianoandPage

the sweet smother of prestorm grey

will find me walking the

streets that are

lungs to its rustling language

a self-reflective solliloquy swept

up with palm fronds and juniper trees

and in this quiet collaboration

i will stroll

a figure in fleece

lost in pseudo-silent sensations.

prestorm grey - fantastic word combination
also - psuedo-silent

There is a concrete-zen to this poem
just before rush hour perhaps
a buzz in the distance.

I like this one because it puts the reader there - in that moment with you.

A meditative presence hovers over every line and the quiet is felt.
