He will never know

He will never understand why my eyes are bright red
He will never  take a second thought to all the words I’ve said
He will never feel the pain that I hold in my hart.
He will never know how much I loved him, right from the start

He doesn’t understand why  I cry when he says her name
Whether he believes it or not he says he is to blame
His hand held in mine was as good as can be
But he has her now and our future he can’t see

He says we’ll be friends and it won’t interfere
But his stories about her are ones I wont hear
I know he is happy and for that I am glad
But my heart will always wonder, of the life we could have had
