All Star Scribble.

All Star Scribble.

A Poem by Leo Rushman

Sitting alone abandoned to thoughts,
enveloped by blackness, wading through my pores.
As this darkness cradles me I wonder,
what chances to be alone in this wide blue yonder
Countless souls and yet,
betrothed I am to regret.
The feeling of emptiness subsides,
enough for longing to reside
Unrequited love unsated
the cycle continues unabated,
the destruction complete nothing sacred.
All that is left,
a tattered heart one forged in the tumult of passion,
and the crucible of desire,
now bereft and left for dead.
