Death's Ladder

Death's Ladder

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

From emaciated branches the devil’s fruit plummets

Blood saturated terrain swallows them undivided

Who am I to climb death’s ladder?

Amongst all this distress and torture

Death is the only thing that is certain

I can relate to this feeling as I've been going through it myself. I love your darkness, Raven.

In the darkest moments of exhaustion our pain and suffering feels amplified. It's in that place and moment that we are able to see into that dark side of our soul and embrace it. At least for me.. You penned the feelings perfectly...xo Now get some rest ;) xo
