Pursue

Pursue

A Poem by Catrin Gold
"

Inspired by a line in the background of an Evanescence song, "She's nothing to me"

"

She's nothing to me.
She's nothing to me!
You're all I have,
my world, my life,
you're the call that sets me free.
She's nothing to me!

You're everything,
my everything,
the very air I breathe.
My lifeline in the dark.
Don't take this dream from me.
She's nothing to me.

She's nothing to me,
I'll say it again,
if only you'll stay,
I'll shout it to the world.
Don't leave me in shame.
I'll forget her name.

~~

You're nothing to me.
I've nothing left.
Broke her heart to give you mine,
and now I'm taking it back.
She's everything to me.
Everything you couldn't be.

Is the last paragraph the same or a different speaker?

It's the same speaker, just at a later time.
