Accident

no, this did not actually happen.....it was just some random thoughts i'd put together.

No one seems to understand
I can't deal with tragedy as well they can
I have my own methods of dealing
Without losing my control

The accident had been gruesome
Blood everywhere, bodies crumpled into broken heaps
I'd gone through the front windshield
She'd been crushed, burned, and blown to smithereens

Broken bones all throughout my body
Blood flowing freely from every wound the windshield had caused
I lay in the middle of the freeway
Watching dazedly as the huge black truck crushed our little red convertible

The fire had started at the first sight of sparks
The flames licking the concrete with their destructive heat
Rapidly spreading to consume the leaking gas tank of the convertible
Building into the big boom that caused the ground to rumble in response

Bright flashing red and blue lights dancing across the scene
Police, paramedics, and the fire department all show
Along with some curious and devastated onlookers
No one seemed to notice the broken, sobbing girl in the middle of the freeway

Everyone assumed there were no survivors
No one to be saved
All they cared about was putting out the fire
And getting to the already dead, crispy corpses

Eventually I'm seen
Being poked and prodded at to see if I'm dead or alive
First sign of my slowly extinguishing life caused a flurry of action
And at last I'm whisked away to the hospital

So here I am today
Standing in a bathroom with a razor
Cutting and cutting deeper each time
The accident had been my fault
I shouldn't have survived

I have been in a car accident, but i wasn't the one driving. I was in the car with a friend and her aunt. We were going to be on our way home from school. I didn't cut myself that day. I have cut myself before. In that way I can relate to this. I can relate to the whole thing in general. I would have died if the accident had been worse. Thanks for sharing. :()

This was deep. The pictures painted in you ink bring many things into the forfront of the readers thoughts. Emotions flow the wheel round and leaves the last line to echo without a sound.
