That girl

That girl

A Poem by Beck Louise

My heart aches for that girl
yearning for acceptance
staring into the abyss
wanting but never taking

Is there hope for that girl?
standing alone in the crowd
wanting to fit in anywhere
but craving to be unique

Will anyone help that girl?
as her wrists bleed again
tears falling forever more
pain undulating in her bones

Does anyone know this girl?
faking her constant smile
she looks back at me and I cry
finding that girl is me

Very well written. I felt this way when I was a little bit younger. Great work!

I understand completely where you're coming from. I feel this way sometimes as well.
