Slipped away

Slipped away

A Poem by Beck Louise
"

This is very personal. Please review but I ask you to be gentle.

"
Words that slip away, so meaningless
The realisation of the end.
Nothing matters now, so irrelevant.
The pain knowing I lost a friend.

You're in every memory, every piece
Looking back on a life so carefree.
I see now what wasn't clear before,
I took you for granted so easy.

I've never really believed in heaven
But i know you're looking down on me
Watching as I go on with my life
Hoping I'm all that you wished me to be.

As time goes by we learn to live again,
Hoping you are happy wherever you are
But on those crisp nights you show yourself
And I look to you, my shining star.

This is beautiful. Your words are very gentle and sad; it makes me want to cry. Loss is so very personal. thanks for sharing. I love especially the words "on crisp nights you show yourself." Well done.
