Life and Death

Life and Death

A Poem by Mandy Moore

The answers stay the same

Whether written on cheap paper napkins

or embroidered with silk

The past never happened

and the futures never coming

We are forced to live for the moment

or the temporarily "long term"

which only spans over seven to eight decades

Life is gone in the blink of an eye

and is given just as fast

what you do next

wont matter when you die tomorrow

You don't have to live spontaneously

or cautiously

Just

Live
