A Soft Slumber

A Soft Slumber

A Poem by Mandy Moore

I'm being taken to a world that exists

only in the Darkest Corner

I fight with every fibre and

muscle against it

I scream as loud I'm sure I've

stripped a chord

As I struggle I think about

the horrors within the world

Monsters, beasties abd other

things to frightening to mention

Terrible, horrible situations

await me with

an insight into myslef as the prize

for survivng

I'm growing weary from the battle

and I'm losing conciousness

As I drift off toward the

morose and evil

world

As I let the tiredness take over

I fall into a soft slumber
