You are a Mixtape

You are a Mixtape

A Poem by Claire
"

Comparison of love and a mixtape.

"

You are the metronome

that keeps my mind in place.

You are the warm songs

that I want to wrap myself in.

You are the soft melodies

that help me drift away.

You are the cold words

that hurt when strung together.

But you are also the beauty

of music being woven into

a single tape.

So in this case,

you are also the beauty

of stardust being woven into

your body.

You are a mixtape, and

the only one I would

want to listen to.

This is so lyrical, and you say you are 15, wow. So beyond your years. You have such talent. Keep writing!
