unknown

unknown

A Poem by Amber Kelleher

There's always that unknown about a person

People want to know my unknown

They think they know everything about me

But little do they know that my entire life is the unknown

There’s so much I want to tell them

Only if I could take the time of telling them that I want to get to know them again

So many things that's difficult to say in-person

But would be inappropriate any other way known

I want to talk if it’s not plain to see

Yet I’m afraid not of you, but of being well-known

I really don’t want to be glum

There's something I want to write with paper and pen

I could go without it

Many would be upset though

They still wouldn't know my unknown

I’m losing

It could end short

My story might soon be over

I’m falling bit-by-bit

The process is slow

Patience needs to be known

I’m bruising

No one should end up in court

Luck, not even a clover

Nothing would help the unknown

Nothing can help me
