JAGGED AND FERAL

JAGGED AND FERAL

A Poem by Rene Velez

The ink fluid in it's purpose
teetering on the edge of my reality
my mind free to do it's service
black is the ink well with my
thoughts floating in the darkest seas

I am in the depths of my journey
my heart does stall as I do call
and gaze at the ships of mercy
I drink from the storm
but I am still thirsty...
words may tremble and fall

pen points,

my reactions jagged and feral
though my letters are sterile
from A to Z they do no harm
thoughts have left me disappointed
have I been anointed?
and if so,
then I give my writing arm...

a prose piece wthin the poem ..really exciting Rene..this set of words as the Freeform Poem and the rest as a woven description prosaic of the task at hand..masterful...

I really like the line "I drink from the storm but I am still thirsty." Pain and turmoil are a great motivator to write. The seedy underbelly of society and the people are so much more interesting than sunshine and lollipops.

You must drink from the storm to know. Great write.

Rene, another classically poised piece. A very enjoyable one. Great descriptive nature. Brilliant wording. Loved it! :)

Fantastic Rene, yes give your (righting) arm........I would give my right arm most definitely. What a play with words and a fantastic message to all us writers.
