In motion I am on my way A city I leave behind Lights like fireflies dance In the distance, each one fading farther away Autumn in It's last day...
I am aware looking out my widow I sit in my chair making Sense of my view, The train askew sitting on it's tracks Set to my destination, She is waiting at her station She is who I want to see...
The weekend is upon us Wars we will wage in love and lust Before death, before dust We will create memories of smiles and trust Her love has brushed my soul
And so I sit in my chair Train askew set to it's destination She in waiting at her station...
I can feel the bittersweet in this. We all feel that from time to time. Longing for another, whether they're a hundred miles away or just one. I like the line, "Lights like fireflies dance In the distance, each one fading farther away"
The flow and imagery work beautifully to create an elegant and gentle piece. The sweetness of this poem feels to me almost like a melody, and i found myself trying to put music to your words i read. Very well done, as usual.
Strong images create by this amazing poem. I like the ride to a safe place and to a special person. Allow us to think and be thankful for the opportunity. A very nice ending to a excellent poem.
