The Rose Warriors

The Rose Warriors

A Poem by Joseph - Michael
"

There was that time I was wondering what's the point about getting the roses for someone else like that, so I played with my imaginations and here's my unusual idea on what I may be thinking.

"

The Real Story Of The Rise And The Fall

Of The Ultimate Survival Of All Flowers

Possibly The Most Powerful Of Them All

Prepare To Believe In Their Truest Power

Births Out Of The Small And Simple Seeds

Reaching Out Of The Ground With The Stems

Knowing The True Meanings Of The Deeds

As Rich As They Would Be The Priceless Gems

Standing Tall As High As The True Soldiers

With The Weapons Of Their Own Thorns

Waging The Wars Against The Evildoers

Never Ever To Be Neither Tired Nor Worn

Only Way To Be Destroyed By One Thing

Helplessly Very Much Like Every Babies

Are Every One Of The Creatures' Dirty Skins

Infecting Just Like Out Of Control Rabies

Their Lives Already Slowly Dripping

Staining On All Of Hands And Gloves

For The Pickers' Intentions Of Giving

Toward To The Others For The Loves

Fact Of The Ways They Were Meant To Be

I Guess That The Roses Were Really Nice

About That They Were Loved To Be Seen

And How They Paid For The Perfect Price

I know, I've got some strange ways of seeing and thinking things like that, so don't mind me.

If you have ever tried to get rid of a rose bush, you would soon find out they are near impossible to destroy. You cut them down to the ground, they come back. You try to dig them out, and find their roots deeply embedded in the ground. The more you try disband them, the hardier they become. Sure, some years their bloom is better than others, but year after year they come back. Sounds alot like Love to me.
Strange no, I'd say your right on target.

Its got a quality to it that made me unsure if I should laugh at times or take notes. So I did both ^__^

Nah, not strange but unique. The world needs unique. And this has some wonderful imagery.

Standing tall like soldiers.
Thorns as weapons.
Stained hands and gloves.

The imagery is sharp and stands out, giving the rose or roses personality.

No..this is not strange at all. I like the new way of looking at that symbolic flower ~the rose~ that has lost its meaning over time with cliche'd hyperbole...I have giv3en a few to women beofre...but I usually do not and prefer to give them the flowers that they love the most...taking their lead to see what is in their hearts, not imposing mine on theirs...

I think you have hit on the reason why the rose is such a cliche of love as it is a bitter sweet flower ~ a dangerous beauty. I have met a few of them in my time as well...I love fiesty women and it is an occupational hazard. They often underestimate me though as I am the opposite of this poem.

In this poem there is a raw strength that is quite overt, but yet it holds a subtlety.
