Jumper

Jumper

A Poem by Reverent

I bet it's warm inside
down in the city
on the atlantic
the waters are waiting

It's cold in new york
the waters are fair to play
drowning in a liquid dream
comatose for days

Ice on the window
a medical scent decay
hospital sheets laid like waves
i hate every word you said

I check with Smithy
to tell him where you've been
explain my brother has been ill for days
it's only a half lie i guess

It's must be so warm inside
nailed to a hospital bedframe
the nurse gentles for the dead
and i'm waiting for your name

it's over
