Tanka is one of my favorite forms of poetries. Richard, you've painted the emotions with some beautiful, soft, unalloyed words. It feels like a karmic pull. I too have felt it somewhere. Anyway, nowadays I'm trying not to read too much between some hollow lines of this world. Great write!

I shall take a stroll through your portfolio to read and review your Tanka … it's great to find another Japanese stylist here at the Café.
That our mutual karma meets through poetry makes sharing my work with you a true pleasure … like a sort of welcome homecoming.
Thank you for your graciously encouraging compliments, too, Dear Poetess....
May the sky smile warmly down upon You! ⁓ Richard🖌

How truly wonderful it is to receive the warmth of your gracious praise and expressions of enjoyment.
That you "Love" any part of my humble poetic efforts is sheer inspiration, beyond mere words.
I cannot thank you enough, Dear Poetess! ⁓ Richard🖌

How can some words be so beautifully sad? As in the meeting and departing... perhaps, more so in the knowing. Yet, those that touch our lives in such wonderful ways, truly never depart. It seems to be that we hold those moments close, they comfort us, and forever cherish what was gifted. Sometimes things don't turn out they way we want them to. Sometimes we have to settle for the little gifts. :) Aww what a Tanka! Beautifully written with every felt word... perfected illustrated. Heart-tugging little Sunday morning read. :-)

It never ceases to amaze how clearly and completely you always grasp the core substance of whatever my battered old pen has created and laid upon the page.
Yet, it's not only how you perceive poetic truth, it's in the many ways you expand it to twice its size in essence and significance.
Your keen, intuitive mind is, indeed, a Godly wonder … not to mention your own masterful poetic skills.
I am so glad you've shared with me for almost a decade … thank you, Susan ⁓ Richard🍀
