Crystal Mountain

Crystal Mountain

A Poem by Ashley Robel
"

Mountain Climbers Challenge #1

"

Crystalized mountain,

I stand before your graceful beauty.

I watch you glisten in the sun

As I place my hands upon your surface.

Marvelling at its rough texture,

I begin to climb you with cat-like grace.

With each stretch of my arms and legs

I get closer to your summit.

Your color slowly transitions

From purple to orange,

Bringing me closer to my goal.

As I finally reach the top,

I find the view beyond amazing.

I let out an enthusiastic shout,

Raising my hands above my head.

I have achieved victory,

My crystal mountain.

I have won.
