Lost for Christmas

Lost for Christmas

A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

Hope for the homeless

"
...
Christmas comes in just a few days...
Everyone scurries... in so many ways...
Families gather... exchanging love...
Others need hats, coats or gloves...
Some buy things... most can't afford,
then there's ones with only... memories to hoard.
Neighborhoods light up their homes and trees...
Homeless folks kneel down on their knees...
Why they are homeless ? God only knows...
Problem not answered with ribbons or bows...
Let's pull together and do what we can...
to find solutions all over this land...
Praying for answers... Try to give hope...
Not giving handouts, so they can buy dope...
Give them support, throw them a rope...
Discuss finding ways for all to cope...
Community jobs, duties to share...
Charity, clothing and food show we care...
Reward them for efforts, energy earned...
Better direction for all concerned...
...
Prayers that all those lost souls find direction,
and do have a merry Christmas...
...
